Our celebration of a decade of ZOOZ Fitness continues with athletes, parents, and trainers sharing their love and experiences with the gym.

In this special edition, we highlight 10 reasons parents say ZOOZ Fitness has made a difference in their children's lives:

1. A Safe and Supportive Environment

ZOOZ provides a welcoming space where athletes of all abilities can exercise without fear of judgment or exclusion. Trainers understand various disabilities and create workouts tailored to each athlete’s needs, ensuring safety and encouragement.

2. Specialized and Knowledgeable Trainers

Unlike traditional gyms, ZOOZ has trainers specializing in adaptive fitness, equipped to work with individuals with disabilities. This gives parents peace of mind, knowing their child is in capable hands.

3. Focus on Strength, Health, and Well-Being

Many parents worry about their child's physical health, mobility, and overall well-being. ZOOZ helps athletes improve strength, coordination, and endurance in a structured, enjoyable way.

4. Building Confidence and Independence

For many people with disabilities, achieving fitness milestones—big or small—can be incredibly empowering. ZOOZ fosters a sense of accomplishment and helps athletes build confidence in their abilities.

5. Social Connection and Friendship

An inclusive gym fosters community and friendship, helping our athletes feel connected rather than isolated. Group classes and one-on-one training sessions allow them to form bonds with trainers and peers in a positive, uplifting environment.

6. A Place for Family Involvement and Bonding

ZOOZ isn’t just for the athletes—it also creates opportunities for families to be involved in their child’s fitness journey. Whether it’s cheering them on, participating in activities, or seeing their child achieve new milestones, parents feel actively engaged rather than just spectators. It’s a place where families can celebrate progress, perseverance, and shared experiences.

7. Accessibility and Adaptability

Unlike traditional gyms that may not be accommodating, ZOOZ is fully accessible, with adaptive equipment and modifications for various needs, ensuring everyone can participate.

8. Encouraging a Lifelong Love for Movement

Many parents want their child to develop a healthy relationship with exercise. ZOOZ makes movement fun, engaging, and a natural part of their routine, helping to instill lifelong fitness habits.

9. A Sense of Inclusion and Belonging

ZOOZ isn’t just a gym—it’s a community that embraces and celebrates every athlete, making parents feel seen, valued, and understood in a world that often lacks true inclusion.

10. A Place Where Every Athlete Matters

At ZOOZ, every person, regardless of their ability, is treated like an athlete. They are challenged, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential, making it a place where parents know their child is genuinely cared for and uplifted.

What Parents Are Saying

“The time at ZOOZ is used wisely and it provides Amina with physical fitness, social interaction, and above all, the trainers are so friendly that she loves to come. Also, I get a lot of motivation watching her. I wasn’t exercising for many years but when I observed Amina and the classes, I learned new stretching moves and now I am doing it regularly—so thank you.”Samina, mother to Amina (ZOOZ athlete)

“ZOOZ Fitness has helped motivate Manuel and Juan, especially because they enjoy working out here. It also gives them a place to socialize, and now they ask for specific workouts and have more confidence.”Edgar, brother to Manuel and Juan (ZOOZ athletes)

“ZOOZ offers an essential service. Physical movement is crucial for everyone, but especially for those who are neurodiverse or disabled, as they often overlook this part of a healthy lifestyle. The atmosphere here is entirely different from a typical box gym—it’s warm, inclusive, and truly caring.”Gilda, mother to Loren (ZOOZ athlete)

“ZOOZ has helped Efrain remain active. He always looks forward to coming because he sees and meets friends, and he gets stronger. It helps him get better every day.”Jessie, mother to Efrain (ZOOZ athlete)
